This is a pair of paintings dedicated to my mother and father, about things I cannot put into words.
The one for my mother depicts some unassuming pickle urns from our trip to Korea. Besides memories, it communicates my thoughts and feelings for her. Like every mother-daughter relationship, ours is multi-faceted, but also important and dear, and unknowable to others… Just like the content of these urns.
The one dedicated to my father is of a Cattleya that he nurtured. It comprise of the impressions that I have about my father and his love for orchids and the family business and how it was like when I worked for my parents at the farm.
